I was always a loner because for the longest time (until I was 12) I was an only child. So if I wanted to do something I would just go out and do it.

I’ve always had the mentality that if I wanted something I would just have to go get it. I didn’t need to ask anyone for help. I think this is a strong thing to have, but it can also be detrimental to growing a business.

The reason why is that at some point you’ll need help and in fact, you can usually go further, faster with some help.

But I always refused to ask for help.

Unless it came down to money and I needed to eat.

But everything else? Nah, Scrivs got it.

I wish I could go back in time and talk to certain people and ask them questions. Not even ask them for help, just ask them for advice.

I wish I hadn’t been so persistent in believing the fairytales that entrepreneurs tell you about pulling themselves up by their bootstraps and doing everything on their own.

Everyone needs help to reach the further dreams.

The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be.
