Odd Noodles

If you ever invite me to your wedding, chances are that I’m going to be the first person on the dance.

I’m not talking about waiting around a couple of songs and then slowly get out there.

I’m talking first song, first minute.

I do this because I hate seeing people pretend to be something they’re not.

What do I mean?

You’ve seen it if you’ve gone to a wedding. The DJ starts playing music and everyone sits around looking at each other pretending they aren’t the people that like to have fun.

Suddenly 49 people prefer to sit at a table talking to relatives they don’t like.

Nah.

Fuck that.

So I get out on the dance floor and I dance.

Now, something you must know about me.

I’m a pretty good dancer.

I’m not So You Think You Can Dance material, but I can hold my own.

But when I first start dancing I don’t dance like I know what I’m doing. I don’t even pretend to have any type of rhythm.

I just go out there and move my body like one of those crazy blow up dolls in front of a used car dealership.

I do this because I know how people think. If I dance like my normal self they’ll just say that they aren’t going to go out there because they can’t compete.

(Yes, I know, I’m making myself sound like a great fucking dancer.)

So I dance like it’s my first time moving my body. Like Neo being released from the baby pod.

Do you know what this does? It makes people think that there is no way they can be as weird as me and that’s cool.

So they get up and join me on the dance floor and they start dancing.

Most of the time they circle around me and we get a dance circle going.

7 weird ass people dancing to the same music.

And we’re all smiling.

That’s how your Hero is. They are out there wandering around looking for someone to guide them but they can’t find that person because they feel that nobody understands them.

They’re just too weird.

But you don’t see them in that light. You know they are just like you and you understand them.

So it’s your job to let them know you’re just as weird as them and that’s cool.

They’ll love you for it because everyone else seems to not care about them.

It’s possible for anyone to build a successful online business and it doesn’t start with a brilliant idea.

It starts with being the first weird son of a bitch on the dance floor.
