Best Work-At-Home Jobs for Introverts or People That Hate People

This might sound kind of twisted but one of the worst parts of going to a 9-5 is being around people.

This makes it sound like I hate being around people but it’s quite the opposite. When I’m relaxed and having a good time I don’t care if there are people around me.

However, when I am in a professional environment I just don’t like being around other people because that usually means I have to play games/politics with other people.

It’s part of the reason why I work for myself now.

I can only imagine how tough it must be for introverts to be around people AND try to do a great job.

That’s why the Internet has been so great for all types of people. It allows you to dictate how you work and who you work with.

In this post, I am going to share with you some of the best jobs that you can do at home if you are an introvert.

The Best Work-At-Home Jobs for Introverts

Of course, these jobs aren’t just for introverts. They are for everybody but if actually dealing with people is something you are not too fond of then you will love the jobs in this list.

When I say that you won’t have to deal with people that isn’t totally true. If you want to make money there is always some form of communication that you will have to do but this can mostly be done over email.

If you’re hoping to make a living from home without ever interacting with another human being ever again then I guess it’s possible, but it just makes things a little bit harder.

1. Freelance Writer

There are a ton of content sites on the Internet that are looking for people to write articles for them. In fact, here is a huge list of sites that will pay you to write for them.

You don’t need to be a professional writer.

I’m not a professional writer and I’ve written for plenty of other sites and gotten paid for it. You simply just need to know what you are talking about and this can be done with research.

If you’ve never written a blog post before then I would suggest you start a blog of your own so you can get some practice. You don’t have to try and make it big (but as you’ll see in a second it can be a great way to make money), but it can act as your portfolio and will allow you to get writing jobs easier.

There are plenty of people looking to jump on the freelance writing train so don’t expect to hear back from every single site. However, persistence pays off in this case so don’t give up.

2. Blogging

Blogging is the reason why I am able to make over $10,000 a month and in comparison to other bloggers I’m small time.

What’s great about blogging is that once you decide what to blog about and you build your audience it opens up a ton of different revenue streams.

It’s easy to look at a blog and wonder how to write a blog post and how to make money blogging and the answer is every way possible.

For example, one of my blog makes money through ads and affiliate marketing. Another blog makes money through e-books and online courses. I used to make money through services as well.

Chasing Foxes is a great example of a full time blogger who was able to ramp up their blog quickly and make thousands of dollars a month.

3. Amazon Seller

Amazon is the world’s largest e-commerce store and thousands of individuals use it to sell their goods. You might be thinking that you don’t have any goods to sell and the great thing is that you don’t need to produce your own goods.

You just need to find a way to purchase goods at a low cost and sell them at a higher price.

You can do this by browsing eBay or going through a service like Alibaba and have goods made for you.

Then you simply use Amazon’s Fulfillment service to handle everything else for you. You simply ship the products to Amazon’s warehouse and they will take care of delivery to the customer.

4. Photographer

This one might not necessarily be at home depending on what type of photographs you take but going outside doesn’t mean you need to interact with people.

There are a number of sites that will happily pay for your wonderful photographs.

With how great the cameras are in phones today you don’t even have to splurge for an awesome camera rig until you really get serious about it all.

5. eBook Writer

eBooks are a big deal.

I know people that make over 5 figures a month from their Amazon Kindle book sales. Imagine writing a series of short novels about unicorns conquering the Universe and people pay you real money to read it.

You can even use an alias if you don’t want people to know who you are.

The Possibilities are Endless

While there are many more opportunities for introverts to make money from home, I wanted to list the 5 that can end up paying well if you do things correctly.

It will take a bit of research and learning but if you apply yourself there is no reason you can’t do well with any of these jobs.

In fact, you could very easily combine some of them to increase your revenue streams.

You can be an eBook author that runs a blog to build up their audience and on the blog you can sell a course. Remember, don’t limit yourself to one possibilty.
